Scaling the Notiphi API : In order to reduce latency, footprint and peek demands, the original system built on top of Django and MySQL was ported to Tornado. A redis layer introduced partially replacing MySQL to improve the performance and footprint.
Also developed an account management system to automatically handle processing of the payments due and provide an interface to manage payments. A dashboard graphing system to track ad spend and ad revenue for merchants as well as developers.

Notikum is a pilot product to demonstrate the effectiveness of geolocation based advertising that notiphi promises to deliver. It has evolved into a product of its own in the card offers space. Scraping data from banks on card offers, extracting offers, geocoding addresses are some of the tasks I was working on as a developer (data processing and analysis) in this project.

Techbot is a technology and business consulting firm. I was responsible for developing a hybrid science and technology news platform (print+online) focused on the regional market. The website was developed on ruby on rails. Due to the special business case and the requirement of custom features, it was built from scratch without depending on a CMS. I also worked on a couple of in house products as well as in developing software for external clients.

StoredIQ has a number of applications targeting different enterprise user groups. These applications are built on top of their core offering, a clustered appliance for extracting metadata/content and managing nondatabase sources. I was working on upgrading the user interface for one of the older applications and in building protypes for the newer applications. Work mostly involved working on javascript and Django.

An extended study of my thesis work in which I had made some modification to the watermarking scheme to provide greater data throughput. The modified system was studied for further improvements and possible alternate applications. In parallel I was studying acoustic sensor array processing and was responsible for setting up the hardware and software for real world data accqusition. The results were to be used in simulating and evaluating a virtual microphone.

Master thesis in Audio watermarking at Fraunhofer IIS, for my my Master programme in Communication engineering. The goal of my thesis work was to identify areas of improvements and alternate application areas of a watermarking system already under development at the institute. My work lead to an alternate scheme that increased the data throughput 14x but worked only at very low noise thresholds.
