In my function as the organisation CIO I set CUTEC's technology strategy and directed the planning and introduction/implementation of IT systems in support of initiatives such as TVC 2011.

The Cambridge University Technology and Enterprise Club (CUTEC) hosts a number of events to enhance the entrepreneurial spirit amongst academics and students. Our focal event, Technology Ventures Conference (TVC) is one of the world's largest student-led entrepreneurial conference.
The TVC attracts high profile venture capitalists, entrepreneurs and angel investors from around the world and affords unmatched access to this community for student attendees. In parallel, CUTEC also organises workshops and ideas@CUTEC open innovation events throughout the year, either independently or in collaboration with the local and global professional networks. It aims to provide the platform to encourage entrepreneurship across multi-disciplines around the University of Cambridge.

Project Title: "Adapting Singapore’s Interactive and Digital Media ecosystem to mobile and tablet platforms"

For the developing tablet and mobile IDM industry of Singapore, conducted research, assessed trends, provided strategy and recommendations on how to create an ecosystem that can best meet new IDM industry needs and help attract talent and investment to further grow the local IDM industry base.

• Analysed AdWords reseller sales across EMEA countries, developed deep understanding of Google’s core business and its search offerings/tools, identified market opportunities and improvement areas
• Established scalable business framework, recommended growth strategy and presented action plan

• Understood customer needs, gathered product requirements, enhanced and created new products, recommended business development strategy for the hi-tech design services and consulting firm
• Conducted extensive market research, identified strategic partnerships across EMEA, outlined value proposition, defined relationship management, and presented to C-level executives

• Created and launched high performance Web-based network management system for blue chip company with a 15 member team of engineers, business development, sales and marketing managers
• Implemented multi-purpose Web-based infrastructure monitoring system for blue chip company
• Supervised the development cycle and managed communication within 3M and with clients
• Introduced state-of-the-art software development tools and practices to speed up implementation of Web projects

Leading Domain and Internet Service Provider in Germany

• Initiated software architecture and user-experience changes; created paid and free services for the flagship project of CSL, Joker.com - a popular E-Commerce platform for managing and selling domains
• Developed, launched and supervised CSL’s portfolio of websites
• Defined product vision, strategy, best technical implementation methods and execution schedule
• Implemented and scaled online payments including Verified by VISA/MasterCard SecureCode gateway
• Maintained Web presence of industry and telco multinationals in Germany and internationally
