Hired on the spot by Ben du Plessis (no relation) to oversee the Nokia account. The short-lived period at JWT ended due to a policy of not having siblings in senior positions within the same company.
The sibling in question was Sherril Rankin, Head of Traffic.

Chrysler Jeep Dodge. My involvement on the account was very hands on and extensive. I liaised with clients on every level personally and vetted each piece of work personally. I was invited to work on international campaigns out of Detroit on two separate occasions and fielded a relocation job offer to work in Detroit twice. This was a through-the-line account and I played in every pond. Loved every minute of it - especially the highly successful customer events called Camp Jeep.

Set up a small shop as a freelance service to various agencies as a writer and designer.

worked on various accounts, most notably Microsoft who had just entered the South African marketplace officially.

wrote for several governmental agencies and in particular communications related to AIDS

worked with senior teams as copywriter on Unilever

Joined as junior writer to assist senior teams on Opel, Pyotts, Safair
